Tattoos — Photography — Fine art
I'm a multidisciplinary Romani artist based in Vancouver, BC. My primary focus is tattooing, but I also work in other art forms such as painting, drawing, and digital art. I have worked with various clients and galleries, showcasing my art and participating in art events.
Tattoo Work — Design and Execution
Tattooing since 2020
I draw my inspiration from a wide variety of sources, including baroque and gothic architecture, classical art, ornamental design and folklore. My love of ornamental design and classical art is evident in the tattoos I create. I specialize in gothic ornaments and architecture, but I'm happy to work with any design you have in mind. My style combines elements of the past with modern techniques to create something special to you. Whether you're looking for a detailed piece that tells a story or a simple, elegant design, I'm ready to help you bring your idea to fruition.
My Work
Paintings — Mixed Media — Digital Art
Themes of my Romani Gypsy heritage and womanhood filter through my work, as well as my love of mythology, folklore, and the macabre. In contrast to my tattoo work, using colour in my other mediums feels essential and necessary, I enjoy earthy tones and bold colors that can create emotionally charged pieces.
Photography
Mainly shooting portraits, I aim to capture the essence and personality of each subject. I got to hone my skills and study fine arts at Emily Carr University. I enjoy shooting photos that are expressive and unique, and I am passionate about capturing the beauty of the person in front of my lens.
Exhibitions and Events
I have participated in various art exhibitions and events, showcasing my work and connecting with other artists and art enthusiasts.
In addition to running Svatura, We like to host a bi-monthly art show at the studio, where we get to meet and connect with local artists and art lovers. Our events are open to everyone, and they provide a platform to showcase local artists aswell as the potential of tattooing and its place within the artistic community.
